OLD
FRIENDS
“Our dearly loved friends and cherished companions were devoted to our happiness until the end --- Rest peacefully dear friends until we meet again. You will be forever in our hearts.”
A rose once grew where all could see
Sheltered beside a garden wall
And as the days passed swiftly by
It spread its branches straight and tall.
One day a beam of light shone through
A crevice that had opened wide ---
The rose bent gently toward its warmth
Then passed beyond to the other side.
Now you who deeply feel its loss
Be comforted --- the rose blooms there.
It’s beauty even greater now
Nurtured by God’s own loving care.

OTT’S NINJUTSU C.D.
“NINJA”
Ninja was a very special friend who was with us for almost 16 years. She helped us learn about the dog show world, both conformation and obedience. Although Akita’s typically are not used for obedience work due to being dog aggressive, Ninja was an exception. She earned her C.D. at the age of 8 – (she started training at 5 years of age). She didn’t particularly care for “boring” CD exercises, but she loved the individual attention. She was always a good teacher for any new puppy coming in. Firm but gentle and playful. When our son Derrick arrived, Ninja was very loving and protective of him. Ever watchful, she was his guardian. Ninja was a true friend to us all and we were very honored to have her in our lives. We miss you Nu-Nu.

CH. TAMARLANES SHOWTIME JAZZ CGC
“JAZZ”
1988 - 2000
“Jazz was a true showman. He was the essence of what a show dog should be. He loved to go to shows, to hear the clapping, whistling and hollering….whether he was in the ring or not….as far as he was concerned….it was always for him! He loved attention and was quite the showoff. Jazz was our 1st champion – with several Best of Breeds as well as a Group I – and always owner handled. He was a joy to show as he knew how to “turn it on” in the ring. Jazz was not a typical Akita. He was not dominant and generally got along with everyone as well as with other dogs and cats. Because of this, he earned his Canine Good Citizen title easily. Jazz was a very stunning Akita and everywhere we went, people noticed him. Jazz loved us unconditionally and we were fortunate to enjoy him for 12 years. We miss you Jazz Boy.

BISS CH TAMARLANES TOUCH OF
ENVY “ENVY”
1992-1998
Envy captured my heart right from day one. She was the most gorgeous puppy I had ever seen. We formed a special bond that will last my lifetime….a bond that is shared with only a few. There will never be another like her.
Showing Envy was a privilege. She did what I asked, without question. She was always ready and on when we were in the ring. And then laying by my side, calm and relaxed outside the ring. Envy earned her 1st points in May of 1994, winning everything we entered on our way to the Akita Regional Specialty in October of 1994. She mesmerized everyone…winning Best in Sweepstakes in the morning and on to Best in Specialty Show from the open class over top ranked specials…OWNER HANDLED, in the afternoon.. What a thrill! This was her 1st major… she picked up her 2nd major the next day at the all breed show to complete her championship. But this proved to be just the beginning! 2 weeks later, she went on to the Akita National Specialty, where as a “move-up”, she won Best of Opposite with the help of her friend Rusty Short. All this was accomplished before her 2nd birthday!
Envy was not just a great show dog…she was also a great friend to me. There will never be another who captures my heart so completely. I think of you every day my sweet girl – I miss you so. Till I see you again….rest easy.

Tango was an absolute joy to own. He was ALWAYS happy. He never met a dog or a person he didn't like. He was always willing to do whatever was asked of him, even to the point of trying to hard! He was one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had the pleasure of owning.
Upon retirement ~ Tango went to live with the Skolmoski family, where he did his absolute best to become a couch potato beyond anyone's expectations! He loved being retired and living out his life with them.

"CASH"
Cash came to us by way of an intervention at a farm. Paul went with the neighbor to look at a horse for sale, and upon arriving ~ found a litter of puppies that were living in dire conditions.
Unable to leave them behind, the neighbor took one and Paul took the other.
Cash lived with us for a few years until his "forever" home came along.
He lived out his life with the Holm family. He was quite the companion for the entire family.
He was a sweet dog who loved playing in the water and jumping for Frisbee's.
Rest easy sweet boy ~ till we meet again.

HOF ASCA CH GALLERY'S COVERGIRL AT SEVENTHSON, CGC "VANESSA"
7/19/1998 to 11/14/2012
Vanessa was a beautiful girl. She was a very typical Aussie and loved having a job to do. Although I didn't know how to train for herding.....Vanessa's natural instinct would take over. She could get the sheep back in the pasture without any direction from me. She just knew what to do ! She also was a better mouser than any of the barn cats we had around. Very loving and very sweet .... I adored her.
I shared Vanessa with my good friend Connie, who wisely bred Vanessa and obtained her Hall of Fame status with the Australian Shepherd Club of America. Vanessa also produced a Hall of Fame daughter as well as helped Connie achieve Hall of Fame status for her kennel. as her foundation.
Once she retired, Vanessa lived out her long and happy life with the Rice family on their farm.
She was a very special girl ~ I think of her often.
Until we meet again ....... rest easy.

ASCA CH SEVENTHSON'S JUST PUSH PLAY "TYLER"
MARCH 22, 2001 - APRIL 4, 2013
Tyler was my pick puppy out of the one and only aussie litter I produced. His mother was Vanessa.
He was a beautiful dog who finished his CH easily. It became a struggle for me to groom and show him after I hurt my back, so I placed him with another show kennel in VA. He lived out his life with her and was a wonderful member of their family. I miss him a lot and often wonder if I made the right decision to let him go. But he fulfilled his destiny being a wonderful companion and was loved and cherished. I miss you Tyler....till we meet again.
